Most of Atari's best arcade games of the mid- to late-80s used a custom "SLAPSTIC" chip to discourage hardware bootleggers. 35 years later, many valuable game boards have ended up hopelessly broken when their SLAPSTIC chips went missing or died of old age. Hot Rod Arcade's new SLAPtastic! helps bring these games back to life! By setting the three DIP switches, the SLAPtastic! can be configured to emulate any of the eight hard-to-find SLAPSTIC chips used by the following games:
137412-103: Marble Madness
137412-104: Gauntlet
137412-105: Paperboy, Indiana Jones & The Temple of Doom
137412-106: Gauntlet II
137412-107: 720°, Peter Packrat, Xybots
137412-108: Super Sprint, Road Runner
137412-109: Championship Sprint, Roadblasters
137412-110: A.P.B., Roadblasters
Is your Atari System 1 game reporting a "Bank Switch Error"?
Chances are good you need a SLAPtastic!
